Hi guys! This is my latest freebie (just click on the picture above). They are my free fraction strips. Feel free to download the template and try them out with your students!
I also have a similar version that not only has fraction strips but percent strips and decimal strips too! These Fraction Strips are handy for discovering equivalency between fractions, decimals, and percents. Each card is color-coded allowing students to make connections when they see relational card values for proper fractions, percents, and decimals. For example, ¼, 25%, and 0.25 are always yellow.
Fraction word name cards are also included to help students learn how to pronounce the numbers correctly.
The cards included can be used to focus on just one skill (e.g. percents) or use the cards together to learn equivalencies.
Extra copies can be made to allow students to cut out the fraction tiles and use them to create word problems. All Fraction Strips are available in whole, halves, thirds, quarters, fifths, sixths, eighths, tenths and twelfths. The same goes for their decimal, percent and word-name counterparts. Everything here is also included in black and white form for ease of making photocopies. The colored sheets can be printed and laminated or they can be printed on transparency paper to make transparencies for use with a projector.
