I am so excited about my newest creation! Teachers have asked me for it – so here it is… This is a Common Core edition of Greek Roots that is much similar to my Prefix and Suffix Cards. This pack of Illustrated Greek Roots has definitions and examples to reinforce the meaning of the each Greek root featured. Instructions for three small-group classroom activities are also included for engaging usage these roots.

            Greek-Root-metr or meter

The most common Greek roots are used in these cards: auto, bio, chron, dyna, gram, graph, hetero, homo, hydr, hypo, logy, meter/metr, micro, mis/miso, mono, morph, nym, phil, phobia, phon, photo/phos, pseudo, psycho, scope, techno, tele, and therm. This fulfills the CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.4b and CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.5.4b.
