Here is a collection of Christmas themed classroom bulletin boards that are perfect for an elementary classroom. A Christmas theme would have a lot of snowflakes, snowmen, Christmas trees, and ornaments. The color theme is usually red, green, and gold. But you can use blue and silver for a wintery feel. Christmas themed Classroom bulletin boards
Make a motivational Christmas bulletin board: This Christmas themed bulletin board is all about the positive traits of a Christmas tree. It used this border.
Make a large shool hallway Christmas bulletin board: I like this school hallway Christmas bulletin board, it reads ‘This Hallway is Under Elf Surveillance’. Cotton fluff was used as snow on the roof.
This classroom corner Christmas setup has a tree, snowman, and North Pole scene backdrop.
‘Happiness is Catching Snowflakes on Your Tongue’ bulletin board: This bulletin board is a merging of two sets: the Peanuts Christmas bulletin board set and the Carson Dellosa Christmas tree bulletin board set.
Make farmhouse Christmas bulletin boards: This is a Christmas themed red and gold bulletin board for classrooms with a farmhouse feel by Teacher Created Resources. You can make it a buffalo plaid Christmas bulletin board if you use a black background with a buffalo plaid border. The set has so many pieces that you can just choose most of the red ones to match the red and black checkered theme.
Make a Christmas felt board bulletin board: If you own a felt board, you can add red, gold, and white lettering to match your Christmas theme.
3D Christmas bulletin boards are also an option: Use real mittens and real tree elements to make a tactile bulletin board that students will want to see and touch. It makes the season ‘feel’ more real.
Make a Christian based Christmas bulletin board: This complete bulletin board set comes with the tree cutout, ornament and present cutouts, and a Jesus Bible quote poster.
Christmas themed Classroom Door Bulletin Boards
Christmas classroom doors can be based on a Polar Express theme, Nativity theme, Candy land theme, or Santa theme. See Christmas door decor ideas below:
Turn your classroom door area into a gingerbread house for Christmas: This door was covered in dark green bulletin board paper, the walls have brown paper. Colorful plastic plates represent gumdrops, and little gingerbread men and large candy cut-outs are everywhere.
Make a Polar Express classroom door: I love this Polar Express classroom door. A tap light was used for the train’s light. Amazing design!
Design a Fireplace Door bulletin board: This green Christmas themed classroom door has a beautiful fireplace made from a red brick border trim. The teacher wanted a fireplace for her classroom door but she didn’t like any of the bulletin board set fireplaces, or the roll of brick looking paper. So she cut the border trim into the lengths she needed, and glued it to the poster board. The other door was coveren with a red brick photo backdrop.
Hang banners on either side of your Christmas Door: Here’s another Christmas classroom door. For the fist door, red and black buffalo plaid banners hang on either side of the door, and little stockings are all over the door itself. Grinch banners are hung around the second door.
Christmas tree classroom doors: A Peanuts Charlie Brown Christmas classroom door bulletin board set. Also, you can add Peanuts cut-outs to a large Christmas tree cut out to create an original unique bulletin board idea like this countdown to Christmas bulletin board above.
Christmas calendar bulletin boards
Christmas classroom calendar bulletin board: Turn a simple calendar into a Christmas themed display by adding a Winter background, string lights, lots of Christmas cut-outs, and a snowflake border trim.
Decorations for Christmas themed Classrooms
Make a faux fireplace on your classroom wall: Add a Christmas backdrop to your classroom wall, then make a faux fireplace in front of it. Cover the front of a large cardboard box with red brick paper and add a fire cutout. Than make a lid for the box and cover it with a wood grain paper to make a faux mantle piece. To save you time, I found a ready made one here.
I like these Christmas paper fans for classroom decor.
