Anchor charts are used during distance learning at home and face to face teaching in the classroom. There are a ton of different brands and sizes of anchor chart pads out there. This is my list of Best Anchor Chart Papers for Virtual Teaching and Classroom Use. Always keep this rule in mind when you’re shopping for anchor chart pads: ‘If the price is cheap, the quality is poor’. A poor quality pad would easily fall apart at the seams with pages falling out easily.
The best brand to trust would be the 3M Post-it line of anchor charts. They are built to last. As an Amazon affiliate, I may earn a commission for purchases using my links. Learn more.
- The Blank Post-it Super Sticky Easel Pad 25″ x 30″: These anchor chart easel pad papers for classrooms are expensive but are totally worth it because they stick very well and don’t leave sticky residue on chalkboards/cabinets. If you peel them up and re-stick them, they stick again. See the yellow paper version here.
The Lined Post-it Super Sticky Easel Pad 25″ x 30″: This lined anchor chart paper for classroom easel whiteboards has 30 sheets per pad. They’re huge (25″ x 30″) and they’re lined, making it easy to write sentences neatly. On the reverse side, up at the top is a wide band of adhesive that will stick to bulletin board paper, whiteboards or blackboards. It sticks and it also lifts off easily. The cardboard at the top, that binds the pages, has adjustments to fit on a variety of easels. The paper is thick enough that most inks won’t bleed through. It also comes in a yellow paper option.
- Spiral top flip charts: Some teachers prefer spiral tops to sticky tops. This lined flip chart is from Pacon. It has 25 sheets and measures 24″ x 32″. Each page is lined.
There are many ways to hang your anchor charts. See my tips for hanging anchor charts on walls, easels, racks, and whiteboards, in this blog post.
