Make shrinky dink keychains: There is a special paper that shrinks when you bake it. Students can draw a design on it with markers, then cut them out, and the teacher can bake the designs. The result would be small personalized keychain charms for the mothers.

Color on the slightly rough side of the shrinkydink paper for best results. Some papers come with color pencils but you should use your own quality markers and pencils for the colors to be vivid.

If you are making a keychain shrinky dink, remember to punch a hole in it before it goes into the oven.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place shrink art color-sided up on a cookie sheet covered with foil or special baking paper. Bake for 1 to3 minutes until the art shrinks and lays flat. Bake about 30 more seconds. Take the cookie sheet out of oven and let it cool a little before taking art work off of it.
